PERFORMANCE OF THE PACKAGE IS ASSUMED BY YOU AND IF THE PACKAGE SHOULD PROVE
TO BE DEFECTIVE, YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING,

CAUSED IN ANY USUAL, SPECIAL, OR ACCIDENTAL WAY, ALSO IF THE OWNER OR A THIRD
PARTY HAS BEEN POINTED AT SUCH POSSIBILITIES OF DAMAGE.

This install applies to "Revs", an unofficial Amiga port of the 1985 BBC
Micro Formula 3 racing simulation by Geoff Crammond, published by Acornsoft.
It is the "Revs Plus Revs 4 Tracks" release: Silverstone, Brands Hatch,
Donington Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton, plus the Nurburgring.

 Requirements:
 -------------
This install requires WHDLoad version 17.0 or better and a PAL Amiga with at
least 2 MB of RAM. The installed program uses 400 KB ChipMem and 768 KB
 OtherMem.

The game also requires an A500 Kickstart 1.3 image named "kick34005.A500" in
"Devs:Kickstarts". It can be extracted from an A500 with GrabKick or a similar
tool. The matching relocation file "kick34005.A500.RTB", found in the Aminet
archive "util/boot/skick346.lha", must be placed in the same directory.

Without WHDLoad the game runs from Workbench or a Shell on any PAL Amiga with
Kickstart 1.3 or better, a 68000 or better, 512 KB ChipMem and 512 KB of other
memory. It then needs the disc image (see below) as "revs.ssd" next to it.
Shell users on Kickstart 1.3 must change to the game's drawer first.

 Installation:
 -------------
The install does not include the original game. Before running it, download
either of these BBC Micro disc images from bbcmicro.co.uk:

Revs Plus Revs 4 Tracks: https://www.bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=2203
                           DiscA15-RevsPlusRevs4Tracks.ssd, SHA-256
   d014b19d58e5bb1616b8a5ab089c8f27d31d1b37f9bd7d78b936367cf4725afd
 Revs+ [hack]: https://www.bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=4179
                           DiscA16-RevsHack.ssd, SHA-256
   571f6dede00c702917e94cda2cca28245ef4fb30e41df81c806a8729de9e0792

If the download is a ZIP archive, extract the .ssd file from it first. Run the
Install icon and, when asked for the disc image, select the .ssd file. Its
filename does not matter: the installer copies it to the game drawer as
"revs.ssd". Both images are 204800 bytes and carry the same game engine; the
circuits are built into the port, so either one gives all six. When updating
an existing installation, the installer offers to keep the disc image that is
already installed, and then does not ask for the file again.

The game checks the disc image when it starts and reads the engine from it.
If the check fails, make sure the file is one of the two images above and not
another version of Revs (the 1985 single-circuit and "Revs 4 Tracks" discs
carry an older engine and are not supported).

 Controls:
 ---------
The keys are the BBC Micro's: L and ; steer (or the cursor keys), S is the
throttle and A the brake (or up and down), Q and Tab change gear, T is the
starter and Space fine steering. SHIFT+F2 selects mouse steering, where the
right mouse button accelerates, the left one brakes and the middle one changes
gear. The other SHIFT+function key commands are as in the original manual,
with the BBC's f0 on F10 and COPY (pause) on Help.

 Quitting:
 ---------
The game can be quit by pressing CTRL-Q, immediately and without
confirmation, at any point in the game. The WHDLoad QuitKey (keypad "*", key
can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=") works only on a 68010 or better. F10
is not the QuitKey, because it is a game key.
